From many personal experiences, the SE services are the best on the Hanoi to Saigon run. SE is fast, stop at most of the tourist hotspots and the prices are not unreasonable. The TN services are okay – they’re slower since they stop at a lot more stations than the SE trains, but they’re also cheaper.
